Paris, Tenn.–At a gathering outside the Henry County Courthouse Wednesday morning, Juvenile Court Judge Vicki Snyder proclaimed National Drug Endangered Children Awareness Day and spoke of the importance of recognizing the signs.

Awareness needs to be raised of the problem, she said, noting that 52,771 drug endangered children allegations were reported last year in the state of Tennessee.

Paris’ Eiffel Tower joined other landmarks in Tennessee by being lit up in red and red pinwheels have been planted locally.
