Mrs. Lucille V. Russell, 92, of McKenzie, died at Lakeside Retirement Center Friday, April 15, 2022.
She was born Sunday, May 26, 1929, in Ramer, Tennessee, to Lemuel G. and Ruth Louise Fariss Vaughan. She was a member of McKenzie First United Methodist Church, The Morning Glory Garden Club and a retired school teacher at Louden Elementary.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter L. Russell, Jr, a sister Dorothy Sue Waddell, brother Lemuel F. (Bunky) Vaughan and nephew David Waddell.
Mrs. Russell is survived by her sister Elinor (Gerald) Warren of McKenzie, sister in law Jean Vaughan, of Huntsville, Alabama, brother-in-law Ralph Waddell of Greenville, North Carolina, nieces and nephews Nancy (Jim) Grigsby, Sue Waddell, Ellen (David) Crumbaker, Lemuel G. (Connie) Vaughan, Bill (Pam) Vaughan, Bob( Diane) Vaughan, Mark (Jill) Warren and Janet (David) Riddick, several great-nieces and nephews an great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 3 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday at 1:30 p.m. until service time. Interment is at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery, Knoxville, Tennessee Friday, April 22, 2022 at 3 p.m.
