Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Sheriff’s Office chose the winners of this year’s DARE essay contest and presented the winners with gift cards Thursday. Henry County Sheriff Josh Frey presented a $25 gift card to Sealya Chadwell of Harrelson who came in first place; $20 gift card to Emma Hamlin at Lakewood for second place; and a $10 gift card to Skylar Lamb of Henry School for third place.
Frey said, “A few months ago all the 5th graders in the Henry County School System completed the DARE program taught by Sgt. Bruce Alexander. As part of that program each student completed an essay with Sgt. Alexander selecting a school winner. The three winning essays were then read by Chief Deputy Scott Wyrick and I.”
