Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Sheriff Josh Frey said this afternoon that this morning’s shootings in Springville have determined to have been accidental.
The sheriff’s office and other emergency personnel were called to 375 Pineview Drive in Springville on a report of a shooting.
Frey said two people were injured due to the incident. Both were transported to the Henry County Medical Center before being transferred to hospitals in Nashville for further treatment of their injuries, he said.
The two men injured are John David Hitt Jr. of 375 Pineview Dr and Troy Batts of 565 E Main Street Dresden Tennessee.
Frey said, “This case is still an active investigation however all parties involved have been spoken with and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office doesn’t feel the public is at any risk.”
