
Martin, Tenn.–A Martin woman was arrested on numerous drug charges after she was found passed out in her vehicle at the Sonic drive-thru.
Martin Assistant Police Chief Phillip Fuqua said the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, when officers were called to the Sonic on N. Lindell St. Officers were told that a woman had been passed out in her car for about 90 minutes.
Officers arrived and found Chandra Blackburn, age 42, unconscious and the vehicle was pulled halfway into one of the stalls.
According to the police report, when the officer woke her up, she handed him her debit card instead of her drivers’ license and told him she had narcolepsy.
Blackburn failed sobriety tests and officers found a smoking pipe on her. She was charged with DUI and a search of the vehicle found another pipe with what was believed to be meth inside, pills on the dashboard, syringe needles, lighter and glass jar with white residue.
In addition, a backpack contained some 32 more pills, a bag with 1.8 grams of meth, two grams of marijuana, more syringe needles, rubber straw with white residue, container with white residue and a scale. Officers also found a stolen Dewalt drill.
In addition to the DUI charge, she is charged with Possession of Schedule II, Possession of Schedule II Meth, Possession of Schedule III, Possession of Schedule VI, Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Stolen Property.
