PARIS, TENN. — Response to the upcoming Henry County Family History Book, expected to be in print later this year, has been exceptional with over 300 family histories already received.
The Paris-Henry County Bicentennial Committee would like to thank all those who have responded so promptly to record their family’s heritage in this historic book.
Many families, both locally and across the country, have expressed a need for more time to prepare their family entries, so with that in mind the sponsor and publisher are extending the deadline for submissions to May 31, 2022.
As a reminder, detailed brochures are being mailed throughout Henry County the week of March 28th. Any family who currently lives, or has ever lived, in Henry County is encouraged to participate, and all family histories of 500 words or less (along with one photograph) will be included in the book at no cost.
For more information, contact the County Archives at 731 642 3638 or by emailing hcbicen200@gmail.com. Copies of the book may be reserved through the Heritage Center for only $59.95. Again, the deadline for submitting material for the book is May 31, 2022.
The book will be published by Acclaim Press, who specializes in community histories and trade publications. Additional information about the book is available on the Acclaim Press website: www.acclaimpress.com.
