Union City, Tenn.–This year’s music program from Union City Elementary School 2nd graders was a blast from the past.
Appropriately titled “Motown Magic,” students presented a variety of popular songs from the 1960s and ‘70s during three separate performances for family, friends, and the rest of the school’s student body Thursday.
The group did so while mimicking several popular groups from that era — including the Jackson 5 and the Supremes – complete with wardrobe and props.
UCES music teacher Katie Tohn led the performance, delighting those in attendance who regularly joined the sing-along.
Each performance ended with the cast leading everyone in the UC Schools alma mater.
