Union City, Tenn.–Yesterday was one for the books for Obion County Schools, which participated in the “Local Matters” event held at Discovery Park of America. School officials said, “We were so proud to represent such an important aspect of our county: education. We handed out so many goodies, encouraging stickers, and applications! We also hosted a Flag Raffle at our table. Since, Discovery Park of America was the event host, we felt it only right if Scott Williams, Discovery Park CEO, was who randomly picked our winner from the basket, Samantha Reed.”
The Leadership Obion County class hosted “Local Matters”, which drew a huge crowd. Discovery Park’s Williams said, “It was great to see so many local non-profits and public servants gathered in one place all with the desire to make Obion County an even better place to live, work and play.”
Thanks to Norah Kendall, sophomore at Obion County Central High School, Ava Long, senior at South Fulton High School, Natalie Bing, senior at South Fulton High School for all their help in setting up the district booth. It was a huge success and they all represented Obion County Schools so well.
