
Shirley Esra Enoch, 83, of Paris, Tenn., passed away at her residence Sunday, March 20, 2022.
Shirley was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She had a column in the Paris Post Intelligencer. She loved music, family and especially her grandchildren. She was an outstanding woman.
Shirley was born December 21, 1938, in Jackson, Tenn., to John Henry Esra and Artie Annie Smith Esra Oliver, who both preceded her in death.
Shirley married Carlos Ray Enoch May 18, 1958. Carlos preceded her in death September 27, 2016. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Carla Smith, a son Anthony Enoch, 1 grandchild Michael Dean, two sisters Clara Krannichfelt and Viola Fullington and two brothers Billy Esra and Virgil Esra.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Debbie Dean of Buchanan, Tenn., and Ramona Pierce of Paris, Tenn.; two sons Mike Enoch of Springville, Tenn. and David (Laura) Enoch of Paris, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren Wayne (Sue) Enoch, Josh (Pam) Enoch, Ben (LaToya) Enoch, Shanna (Will) Mathis, Demina “Dee” (Clint) Rogers, Stephanie Dodd, Nathan Dodd, Greg Dodd, Dustin Enoch, Tiffany (Chris) Miller, Johnny Pierce Jr., Bert Pierce, Lani (Justin) Enoch; and a sister Dorothy Newton, of Jackson, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. John Smith, of Fairview Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022, and after 12 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2022.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Pierce, Bert Pierce, Ben Enoch, Josh Enoch, Nathan Dodd, and Dustin Enoch. Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Enoch and David Enoch.
