Paris, Tenn.–The Inman FFA is celebrating FFA Week this week and they’re a busy bunch.
With Spirit Week observed in the schools last week, the Inman kids thought it would be better to celebrate the National FFA Week this week.
The Inman FFA students are helping to open doors at Paris Elementary, making goodie bags to thank farmers and ranchers in the county and they are working diligently in the Inman greenhouse to grow petunia baskets.
FFA Advisor Carrie Jones said the basket project is a community partnership between Inman FFA and Henry County Medical Center. Students grow the hanging petunia baskets for HCMC for the Mother’s Day plant sale. Last year they sold out in no time so they are growing almost double the amount this year. Alan Ashlock is also one of the FFA Advisors.
The remainder of the week, the students will be observing special days, such as Dress Like a Farm Animal Day, Dress Like an Ag Professional Day, Dress in Blue and Gold.
