Graves County, Ky.–A South Fulton, Tennessee was seriously injured in a one-car collision in Graves County Sunday.
Scott D. Williams, age 33, was ejected from his vehicle, transported to a hospital in Lynnville and then airlifted to a hospital in Tennessee.
On March 20, 2022, at approximately 8:10 a.m., Deputy Zac Smith and Deputy John Cavin with the Graves County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a single-vehicle injury collision on KY 94 East, between Lynnville and Cuba.
While enroute to the collision, deputies were notified that the operator of the vehicle had been ejected during the collision.
On arrival at the scene, deputies determined the operator to be Scott D. Williams, 33 of South Fulton, TN. Evidence at the scene revealed Mr. Williams was traveling east on State Route 94 East in a four-door passenger car. Williams’ vehicle left the roadway on the right shoulder striking a concrete culvert.
The vehicle then struck another culvert at the intersection of KY 94 and Farm Road and became airborne for a short time. The vehicle landed in the ditch, east of Farm Road, striking a field entrance, where it is believed that the vehicle began to overturn several times. It is believed that Williams was ejected out of the driver’s window.
Williams was treated at the scene by Cuba Fire Department and Mayfield-Graves County EMS. Williams was then transported to Lynnville, where AirEvac flew him to a hospital in Tennessee.
Deputy Zac Smith is continuing the investigation into this collision. The Graves County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Cuba Fire Department, Mayfield-Graves County EMS and AirEvac.
