
Dwayne “Big D” Miller, age 54 of Springville, TN, died Saturday, March 12, 2022, in Indianapolis, IN.
He was an over the road truck driver for more than 30 years, spending the last 10 team driving with his wife. Dwayne was an avid NASCAR, and Tennessee Titans fan. Therapy for Big D was playing his guitar, riding his motorcycle, and being on his pontoon boat. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed his many friends, both in person and through social media outlets Facebook and Twitter.
Dwayne was born June 2, 1967, in Clarksville, TN, to Thomas Lee Miller, and Onia Mae Bowles Miller, who survive of Clarksville, TN.
He married on October 28, 1989, to Lisa Hodges Miller, who survives of Springville, TN.
Along with his parents and wife, he is survived by his two children, Danielle (Dalton) Fleming of Tennessee, and Jarrett (Haley) Miller of Murfreesboro, TN; one brother, Doug (Pam) Miller of Woodlawn, TN; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Fleming, and Zachary Haynes Fleming; two pet babies, Abby, and Daisy; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, JD, and Joyce Hodges.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242. His visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. His funeral service will be Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 3:00 p.m., at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Terry Bear officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jarrett Miller, Dalton Fleming, Scott Wise, Danny Wise, Daniel Short, Tony Beecham, Larry Turner, and Blake Turner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell VanMeter, Doug Miller, Zachary Fleming, Lester Miller, Carl Wall, and Otis Greene.
Burial will follow in Elkhorn Cemetery in Springville, TN.
