
Paris, Tenn.–At the conclusion of a day-long Henry County Grand Jury session Monday, several men were indicted on charges of rape and/or sexual battery involving authority figures.
A former Henry County Corrections Officer was indicted on charges involving sexual contact with a female inmate. Richard Wade Sanders, age 21, of Paris, was earlier arrested and fired by Sheriff Josh Frey after an internal investigation in which the TBI also was called in to investigate.
A total 27 true bills (indictments) were issued by the Grand Jury Monday.
Other indictments included:
En Lin, age 40, of Paris, sexual battery by an authority figure.
Joshua D. Peiffer, age 35, of Paris, one count rape of a child, one count aggravated sexual battery, tampering with evidence, setting fire to personal property.
Peiffer’s arrest was the result of an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Tennessee Department of Children Services into allegations that Peiffer engaged in unlawful sexual conduct with a child less than 13 years of age.
Gregory Dickinson, rape of a minor and statutory rape by an authority figure.
Joshua Enoch, two counts statutory rape.
Jason McCain, age 39, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and evading following an incident at a residence on Hwy. 79.
Robert Pickett, two counts burglary, domestic assault, violation of no contact orders.
As usual, the bulk of the indictments involve drug and alcohol charges.
