Search For Fugitive Leads To Four Arrests

Dover, Tenn.–The old saying you can run but you cannot hide rang true for suspects on Tuesday as the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Erin Police Department and Stewart County Sheriff’s Office put resources together to apprehend a wanted suspect. And in the process, three more suspects were arrested.

Houston County Sheriff Kevin Sugg, his deputies, Erin Police Chief Mark Moore and his officers along with Stewart County Sheriff Gray, Chief Deputy Dale Ward and members of Stewart County’s SRT Unit along with K9s Harry and Borys were led to a location in Houston County by information gathered by Sheriff Sugg as well as Investigator Lee Miller.

A search was conducted of a mobile home and garage with two attached apartments. Dustin Hagar, a wanted suspect with many warrants on file from Houston and Stewart County was apprehended when he was found hiding in a false wall of the upstairs apartment, according to the press release from the Stewart County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition to Hager three other subjects were found in the apartments; they had active warrants from Houston County and the Houston Sheriff’s Office has been actively searching for these individuals as well.

During the arrest, methamphetamine as well as assorted drug paraphernalia was discovered in plain view, according to Sheriff Gray.

Both counties have been searching for Hagar for a couple of months. He has been active in both counties with thefts and other criminal activity, Gray said.

Arrested also was Todd Roby, Stephanie Keene, Tamara Stephenson and Gregory Bursby.
