Nashville, Tenn.–The Obion County FFA Legislative Day was a success. They were fortunate to have breakfast with State Representative Tandy Darby and hear from US Representatives, US Senators, state elected officials, and finally hear words of support from Governor Bill Lee.
After breakfast Farm Credit Mid-America’s Tim Williams met with the FFA officers and discussed the recent storms effect on Obion County agriculture. Stefan Maupin with Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation gave them a behind the scenes look and filled them with insights of the mechanics of state government.
They ended their morning watching a live Tennessee General Assemblies session and meeting with our elected representatives. Special shout out to Senator John Stevens and State Representative Rusty Grills for taking time to speak with the officers.
