
Mrs. Lucille Mires Garner, 94, of Martin, passed away 3:55 a.m. Friday, February 25, 2022, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Markus McClure and Brother Kenneth Springer will officiate. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery in Martin.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Webb, Chris Webb, Jackie Turner, Jackie Garner, Tommy Ray and Bob Petty.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Bennett, Jere Cook and Danny Coleman.
Lucille was born January 12, 1928, in the Terrell community, daughter of the late Rufus H. and Pauline (Barnes) Mires. She married I.H. “Happy” Garner September 18, 1945. He preceded her in death July 22, 2017. Lucille was a retired factory worker and a member of Mt. Pelia Baptist Church. She spent many years volunteering for the Disabled Veterans of America.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stacie and Dale Webb of Martin; four grandchildren, Rusty Garner, Chris Webb and Andrea Webb all of Martin and Matthew Webb and wife Allie of St. Louis, Missouri; and three great grandchildren, Madison Garner of Clarksville, Austin Garner of Martin and Harrison Webb of St. Louis, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Junior Mires, Leon Mires, Roy Mires and Paul Mires.
