Paris, Tenn.–Today was another big day for the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction as we wind down to the final days for this year.

A total of $10,562 was raised today, bringing the grand total so far at $349,623.

Helping Hand President John Berryman pointed out that the auction is on pace to raise more than any other year at this point, with the record reached in 2020 with $379,163.  “We have a chance to raise more money than ever before. If we’re going to do it, we need your help. Please keep the donations coming. Bid high and bid often,” Berryman said.

Donating items today were the Springville community, Doghouse Rescue, World’s Biggest Fish Fry, AHC and Henry Co. Republican Party.

Today’s auctioneers were Darrin Thompson and David Jackson and members of Paris Rotary helped with the phones.

Items Saturday will be donated by the Tennessee Valley Community Church. Auctioneer will be Junior Staggs. Auction starts at NOON.

The annual auction started January 10 and will continue through March 2, raising funds for over 80 local non-profit and service organizations.

Photos of items that are donated each day are posted on the “Henry County Helping Hand” Facebook page. Anyone who wants to bid on any item can describe the item or give the number of the item as posted on the Facebook page.

The auction is broadcast daily over WTPR 101.7 FM and 710 AM at 12:30 p.m. You can also listen on our website at www.radionwtn.com, where it is live streamed.

Auction phone is 644-1695 and office phone is 644-1833. If you experience a problem with 644-1695 when you’re trying to bid, you can call 644-1696 or 644-1697.
