Andrew Malcom Hovis, 24, of Paris, Tenn., died Thursday, February 17, 2022, in Memphis, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Gary M. and Martha Helen Hovis, Sr.
Andrew was born March 19, 1997, in Blytheville, Ark. to Gary Malcom Hovis, Jr. and Christina Marie Hovis, both of Paris, Tenn.
Andrew was a member of Compassion Church in Germantown, Temm. He loved the outdoors including fishing and camping. He worked the soundboard in his church and loved music and playing guitar.
Along with his parents, Andrew leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter Emorii Helen Rose Hovis, of Paris, Tenn., a son Leviticus Eugene Malcom Hovis, of Paris, Tenn., two sisters Ashlynn Marie Hovis, of Paris, Tenn. and April Helen Hovis, of San Diego, Calif., his maternal grandfather: William Leo (Mary Aleshire) Jones of Gresham, Ore. and his maternal grandmother: Nancy Lusk Jones, of Paris, Tenn. and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends including his uncle Matthew Hovis , of Springville, Tenn.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home. Carlton Gerrell of TVCC will preside over services. Andrew’s body will be cremated following the service.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at McEvoy Funeral Home.
