Paris, Tenn.–It was a VERY big day at the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction today, with a whopping 21 slates of items donated by the Routon and Van Dyke communities, Spring Hill Baptist Church and the Van Dyke Church of Christ.
That’s a lot for a weekday and they raised $7,960, bringing the grand total for this year to $334,020.
There is exactly one more week to go for this year’s auction, with next Wednesday, March 2 being the last day.
Today’s auctioneer was Andy Collins and Lions Club members manned the phones. Thursday’s auctioneer will be Noel Hatman. Items Thursday will be donated by Maplewood Baptist Church, Grace Episcopal, and Peppers Automotive.
The annual auction started on January 10 and will continue through March 2, raising funds for over 80 local non-profit and service organizations.
Photos of items that are donated each day are posted on the “Henry County Helping Hand” Facebook page. Anyone who wants to bid on any item can describe the item or give the number of the item as posted on the Facebook page.
The auction is broadcast daily over WTPR 101.7 FM and 710 AM at 12:30 p.m. You can also listen on our website at www.radionwtn.com, where it is live streamed.
