
Paris, Tenn.–Rev. Kenneth Humphreys was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Paris-Henry County Bicentennial Committee Chairman Carl Holder Friday.
Humphreys is a minister, long-time Henry County Commissioner and long-time music educator and the award was presented for his contribution to music education in the community.
Humphreys gave a lunch-time presentation at the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center on “The Essential Nature of the Negro Spiritual” to a full house gathering. Pat Wofford shared her lovely voice with everyone in attendance and Sylvia Humphreys displayed two of her heirloom quilts.
The presentation was sponsored by the Paris-Henry County Bicentennial Committee. The next program will be held March 11, “The Story of Henry and its Kissing Cousins” by Charlotte Barnes.
