
Dresden, Tenn.–Investigators from the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department has arrested one of its jailers after an investigation was conducted.
23-year-old Robert Quimen, a Weakley County Corrections Officer, was arrested Friday for bringing contraband into the Detention Center with intent to deliver to inmates.
During the investigation, the sheriff’s office learned Quimen picked up a controlled substance and delivered it to the jail, where he worked. The corrections officer was arrested before any contraband reached any inmates.
Robert Quimen is being charged with manufacture, sell, deliver controlled substance and introduction of drugs or intoxicants into penal facility.
Quimen was booked into the Weakley County Detention Center and is being housed at Obion County for his safety. His bond hearing is pending.
