Union City, Tenn.–A Michigan man wanted for murder who was stabbed multiple times was arrested at the hospital last night by Union City Police before he was transported to a Memphis hospital for further treatment.
Union City Lt. Derrick O’Dell said officers were dispatched to Baptist Memorial Hospital last night to investigate a stabbing incident.
Officers were told 23-year-old Christopher Wesley Nunley of Highland Park, Michigan, had arrived at the hospital with multiple stab wounds.
A routine records check revealed Nunley was wanted on a warrant for Murder from the Detroit Police Department, O’Dell said.
The investigation into the stabbing revealed the incident took place in South Fulton, Tennessee. The stabbing investigation has been picked up by the South Fulton Police Department.
Nunley was taken into custody and transported to Regional One in Memphis for further treatment of his injuries.
