Union City, Tenn.–Obion County Sheriff Karl Jackson has announced the appointment of Chief Deputy Matt Woods.
Chief Woods has been in Law Enforcement for 24 years, with 23 of those years being at the Obion County Sheriff’s Office.
He has held the position of Road Deputy, Corporal, Sergeant, and Patrol Lieutenant. Chief Woods also serves in the National Guard as a Sergeant 1st Class, completing two tours of duty in the Middle East and one on the US/Mexican Border.
Chief Woods has been married to his wife, Darla, for nearly 33 years and they make their home in Hornbeak.
