Fugitive Arrested At Tennessee-Kentucky Line

Dukedom, Ky.–On Tuesday morning February 15, 2022, Graves County Sheriff’s detectives received information concerning a wanted fugitive that was hiding out at residence in Dukedom, just about 100 yards from the Tennessee line.
After a short footchase into a pond, Tyler Forrester, age 25, of Fulton, was charged with assault, resisting arrest, fleeing and possession of meth.
The suspect had been under investigation by the Graves County Sheriff’s Department stemming from an incident that occurred on January 23, 2022. During that incident, the suspect pistol whipped another individual causing injury to the assault victim. The night of the assault, the suspect ran from the scene and fled into Tennessee.
This morning at approximately 10:30AM, Graves County Sheriff’s detectives set up surveillance in the Dukedom area on a residence where they believed the suspect was hiding, located within a few hundred feet of the state line. Weakley County Tennesse Sheriff’s deputies positioned themselves on the state line.
Detectives observed the suspect emerge from the residence on foot. As deputies attempted to take him in custody, the suspect ran on foot towards the state line, but was apprehended in a pond.
A backpack the suspect threw was found to contain Methamphetamine.
Suspect: Forrester, Tyler S. 25 years of age
of the Fulton, Ky area
Charges: Assault 2nd Degree (Warrant)

Fleeing or Evading
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The suspect was later transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center and then transported to an out of county jail.
