Union City, Tenn.–Hard work has paid off nicely for Chandler Adams.
The rising Union City High School senior – called “one of hardest workers on the team” by Tornado head soccer coach Travis VanHooser – recently signed scholarship papers to play on the collegiate level at Bethel University.
Adams’ efforts on both the field and in the weight room have been significant reasons for his next-level opportunity with the Wildcats.
“I can’t say enough about Chandler and his work ethic,” VanHooser said. “Since he came into our program as a freshman, he’s consistently been one of the hardest workers in all areas.
“He is a versatile player who has played all over the field throughout his career here at UCHS. I’m very proud for him that he will have the opportunity to continue playing at the next level.”
Despite being injured for much of last season, Adams still scored nine goals on 18 shots for the Purple and Gold.
He is fully recovered, though and will be looked to for big things by VanHooser, who’ll be in his first season as the Tornadoes’ head coach after several as an assistant.
Adams will begin his senior season at Union City March 15 when the Tornadoes host Obion Central
