Helping Hand Radio Auction Off Through Friday

hh-sign-2

Paris, Tenn.–Out of an abundance of caution, the Helping Hand Radio Auction board of directors have called off Friday’s auction, too. The board on Wednesday afternoon had announced that today’s auction was cancelled.
Helping Hand President John Berryman said, “Even though the road conditions in Henry County are currently pretty good, the ice storm warning times have been extended until midnight tonight. As we are expecting conditions to deteriorate as the day progresses and we are already experiencing power outages across the county, we are going to call off Friday’s auction out of an abundance of caution. We also want to give our donors and volunteers plenty of time to plan. Again, our chief concern is the safety and well-being of our fellow Henry Countians.”
They will make an announcement on Monday about rescheduling Friday’s donor groups. If you have already made perishable food items and can make it to Helping Hand on Saturday morning, they will accept those items and add them to Saturday’s slates. Your group will still get the credit for your donations.
Donating items to Saturday’s auction is the Henry County Medical Center.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support and please stay safe, Berryman said.
