Trenton, Tenn.–Gibson Electric Membership continues to receive new reports of outages, so the numbers are rising. As of mid-afternoon Gibson EMC now has 67 outage locations and 3,465 member-owners’ homes and businesses in Crockett, Gibson, Madison and Obion counties that are without power.
“We will restore service to everyone as quickly as we safely can,” says Dan Rodamaker, President and CEO. “However, with a growing number of outage trouble spots and with the downed lines and broken poles that ice can cause, repairs may be time-intensive.”
Please stay far away from downed electric lines as they may be energized and extremely dangerous. Call your local Gibson EMC member service center to report any downed lines.
Rodamaker said, “Thank you for your continued patience. We are working to restore power and internet service as quickly as we safely can.”
