Paris, Tenn.–Ice is bringing down trees all over Henry County, keeping Paris Board of Public Utilities and highway crews busy. Henry County Sheriff Josh Frey said there have been no reports of weather-related accidents today –“and I think that’s because people are staying in”–but there are plenty of reports of trees blocking roadways. “We’ve had reports of trees down all day, on New Bethel Rd., Henry-Midway, Old Paris-Murray, Rabbit Creek, Highway 119, just all over.” In the Paris city limits, Robin Virva said she heard a loud bang on Wynn Street “and saw this”. In photo, you can see the tree as it fell across a power line. (Robin Virva photo).
