Dresden, Tenn.–The owners of Kountry Korner in Dresden, which was destroyed in the December 10 tornado that blew through our area, have announced they will rebuild. Multiple buildings, churches and residences, including City Hall, the Dresden Enterprise and Fire Department were destroyed by the massive tornado which hit Dresden.

In a Facebook post, the owners said: “Kris and Mike here, we just wanted to let everyone know that Kountry Korner IS going to rebuild. YES, WE ARE REBUILDING! Many rumors are circulating that we are not rebuilding. NOT TRUE! We feel, like every other business in Dresden, that we are a vital part of this community and will pull together to bring Dresden back to some state of normalcy.”

They said they have removed everything from the building that can be reused and they will begin taking the building down in a few days.

“We expect to re-open late fall with the same great convenience store offerings and the greatest food in West Tennessee! Our employees are dedicated to help get us re-opened as soon as possible. We can continue to pay them during our down time, and they are helping us every day with whatever we need to do. We have so many customers that have become our very good friends, and they have offered to help us in many ways. Too many to mention. Bear with us as we start the rebuild. We will come back strong and look forward to seeing all our friends soon!”
