Union City, Tenn.–The Union City girls’ basketball team will pick up a win without taking the court later this week.
Slated to face visiting Milan Friday night in a district doubleheader, UC will be awarded a girls’ victory beforehand due to a COVID outbreak in the Lady Bulldog program.
The Milan girls will also be unable to put a team on the floor Tuesday night against Westview.
Both UC and Martin will get credit for wins in their respective overall standings and the district, while the result will be listed as a “no contest” for Milan. The games will not be made up.
Milan enters the week with a 1-10 record.
The Union City and Milan boys will still play Friday, with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Both Tornado teams will play at home Tuesday night, hosting Huntingdon.
