Helping Hand Radio Auction Off To Good Start

Paris, Tenn.–The 2022 Helping Hand Radio Auction is off to a good start, with $3,920 raised from 12 slates of donated items.

Ray Compton kicked things off as the first auctioneer of the year, with the Athena Delphian Club serving as the panel. “We had a wonderful day”, Compton said as he announced the total Monday afternoon.

The items were donated by the Lakeway Kiwanis and Paris Lions Club and represented a wide variety of goods, from casseroles to to venison jerky to gift baskets.

Photos of items that are donated each day are posted on the “Henry County Helping Hand” Facebook page. Anyone who wants to bid on any item can describe the item or give the number of the item as posted on the Facebook page. #109, TCAT, Moose Lodge, Paris Academy for the Arts, Project Bridge and Paris First United Pentacostal Church.

The auction is broadcast daily over WTPR 101.7 FM and 710 AM at 12:30 p.m. You can also listen on our website at www.radionwtn.com, where it is live streamed.

The auction provides funds to over 80 non-profit and public service organizations and runs from January 10 through March 2. Auction phone is 644-1695 and office phone is 644-1833.
