Helping Hand Radio Auction Set To Begin Monday

helping-hand-goods-2

Paris, Tenn.–With the annual Helping Hand Radio Auction set to begin Monday, Helping Hand President John Berryman said there may have been some confusion as to acceptable donations for this year’s auction.

“Fresh food items are absolutely still welcome and very much appreciated,” he said.

“We also welcome alternative donations of cash, gift cards for local goods and services, craft items or gift certificates for fresh food items to be made at a later date.”

As we reported this week, due to the recent spike in COVID cases, the Helping Hand Board of Directors made the difficult  decision to move to a radio-only auction for the month of January. The Helping Hand Radio Auction will run from this Monday, January 10 through March 2 at the Paris Convention Center.

Berryman earlier announced there will be no in person bidding or spectators during the month of January. Helping Hand had planned to return to a live in-person and radio auction in 2022.

“ALL of January’s auction activity will be broadcast on the radio and bids will only be  accepted by telephone.

The auction will be broadcast daily over WTPR 101.FM and 710 AM. It also will be livestreamed over our website at www.radionwtn.com.

It begins at 12:30 p.m. weekdays and noon on Saturdays. The 2022 schedule also includes four night auctions.

Looking ahead to the beginning of this week:
