Paris, Tenn.–What do you do when you get the call that 500 meals are needed in hard-hit Dresden? If you’re Sheena Davis of Mockingbird Catering in Paris, you organize a small village to help you provide the meals.
In a Facebook post, she recounted how everyone went into action to provide the meals.
“When the Red Cross calls and needs to feed 500 people the next day you answer,” she said. “This would not have been possible without the help of some really amazing, super awesome people!!!”
“I’m not sure if you know this but Henry County is FULL of the most AMAZING people I’ve ever met!!! Give you the shirt off their back kind of people!!!” she said.
“Friday the Red Cross call and need to feed 500 people in Dresden. So knowing I couldn’t get a truck in time to feed that many people I got on the phone,” she said.
Her first call was to Chef Andrew Yeomans at the Family Table in Henry First call was to Chef Andy “and he was all in for this adventure. Chef, I cannot say thank you enough! He not only volunteered his time but he got on the phone as well and got people to donate!”
Davis said, “Y’ALL WE FED 500 people…500 PEOPLE!!! And it was 100% donated!!!”
Special thanks to the following for pulling through in a HUGE time of need:
