Two Arrested, One Sought For Henry County Thefts

Paris, Tenn.–Two people have been arrested and a warrant has been issued for a third in connection with area thefts including an ATV, van, mowers, tractor and more.

Henry County Sheriff’s Investigator Gary Vandiver said a search warrant was served at 340 Morris Rd. Saturday by the Sheriff’s Office and Metro Crime unit as part of an investigation into area thefts, at which time the following property was recovered: A Kubota tractor, bushhog, brush cutter, Scag zero turn mower and two generators which were reported taken from a barn Shady Grove Rd on Friday, December 17 and a 1996 Honda 300 ATV reported being taken from a Hwy 641 Puryear residence on Saturday.  

Jonathan Blanton, age 36, of Puryear was charged with nine counts of Theft of Property, Burglary and Accessory after the Fact. He is held under a $50,000 bond pending arraignment on Tuesday, December 21.

 Jordan Hartsfield, 27 years old of Paris was also arrested on a warrant for Violation of Probation. He is being held without bond pending appearance in Circuit Court on January 14.

Theft of Property warrants have been issued for Adam Kennedy of Morris Rd. Puryear.

In addition, a 1986 Ford Van which was reported stolen from Oak Grove Rd North on Saturday has been recovered from another location. Jonathan Blanton has been charged with this theft also.
