Dresden, Tenn.–If you question the power of Friday night’s tornadoes, take note of this: a sign from Vaughn’s Hardware Store in Dresden ended up in the backyard of a Murray woman and a wedding invitation from Dresden has been found in Cadiz, Ky.
Talia Alexander Wilson, who is a Henry County High School graduate who now lives in Murray, found a part of the Vaughn’s Hardware sign in her backyard and has made arrangements for it to be returned to Dresden today.
Dresden and Murray are 45 miles apart, but closer to some 30 miles ‘as the crow flies’.
She posted on Facebook three days ago, “I found your sign in my field in Murray, KY. If you would like it back just let me know. Hope all is well with your store.”
Meanwhile Tanna Bush posted a similar message on her Facebook page, noting she had found a portion of an invitation for a wedding in Dresden. She found it in her yard in Cadiz–74 miles from Dresden.
A Facebook group called “Quad State Tornado Found Items” has been established to help reunite people with their lost items–and pets.
