Union City, Tenn.–Both the Union City High School football and volleyball teams were honored for their respective 2021 seasons with a banquet Thursday night at the high school.
Golden Tornado head football coach Nick Markle had special recognition for six players who were named to the All-Region 7-2A team as well as eight seniors on this year’s 7-4 squad that made the state playoffs.
UC’s all-region picks included Carter Bondurant — named the Best Lineman for the second straight season – Evan Alexander, Kyrell Littleton, Hayden Kennedy, Jacob Arnold and Gage Smith.
Lady Twister head volleyball coach Jessica Graham, meanwhile, handed out several individual awards from her team’s 11-9 campaign in ceremonies attended by players and their families.
