Union City, Tenn.–Students in the Union City High School 3D Engineering Club recently visited G&H Tool and Die to observe the operations of the local workshop.

G&H is a metalworking shop in Union City that ships parts and designs to companies in many regions of the United States.

Owner and Chief of Operations Barry Bell gave the tour of the metalworking business. Mr. Bell provided students information on the company’s work, including machinery and materials used to fill orders.

The trip also gave insight to students of how their current course will impact their performance in fields such as engineering and also provided information on the workshop.

Students not only got an up-close view at work actively ongoing but were allowed to ask in-depth questions about the job outlook and salary.

Club sponsor Dan Burnham and Assistant UCHS Principal John Graham were chaperones for the trip.
