Paris, Tenn.–It was a great morning Saturday at the annual Henry County Cops and Kids Christmas Shopping Trip. The F.O.P. Tennessee-Kentucky Lake Lodge 17 hosted 240 children on the Christmas shopping spree.
The shopping trip began at Paris Elementary School where the children were teamed with a shopping guide. They were then bused to the Wal-Mart Supercenter for their Christmas shopping spree.
Each child was allowed to spend $75 on Christmas presents. When the children returned to Paris Elementary, they received a bag with fruit, a breakfast item and other goodies.
F.O.P. Chaplin and Henry County Chief Deputy Scott Wyrick said“Being a part of this organization has truly been a blessing”.
The generosity of the people of Paris and Henry County made it possible for the children to have a better Christmas.
Police agencies and organizations involved in the Shopping Trip were: Paris Police, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol, First Baptist Church, Henry County Rescue Squad, Henry County High School Criminal Justice and DECA classes, and Henry County Schools guidance counselors.
