Humboldt, Tenn.–One person is dead and a suspect in custody following an exchange of gunfire at the Humboldt High School basketball game Tuesday night. Another person reportedly is in critical condition.
A news release from Humboldt City Schools says an altercation between two adults led to the exchange of gunfire at the Humboldt-North Side game. According to school officials, no students were injured or involved in the incident.
The shooting reportedly happened outside of the high school’s gymnasium around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday after a basketball game between Humboldt and North Side High School.
All classes and after-school activities at Humboldt Schools are cancelled today.
