Paris, Tenn.–The Lakewood 8th grade 4-H club planned and hosted a school-wide canned food drive November 8-19. The top classes to bring in the most items in each wing were rewarded with a hot chocolate party.
The top classes in each wing were: Mrs. Brittany McCoy, A Wing, Mrs. Della Collins, B Wing, and Mrs. Lindsay Craig, C wing.
In total, there were 1,414 canned goods and non perishable items donated on November 22 to the Paris Henry County Food Bank located on Jones Bend Road.
Allie Paschall said, “As the community service coordinator, I am extremely proud of the success of our project and grateful that our teachers and administrators allowed us to do this event. Also during the month of November, 8th grade 4-Hers wrote Christmas cards for military members currently stationed overseas.”
