Now down to eight. Following football playoff action Friday night there are 8 teams in each division remaining for next Friday nights quarter final play. Henry County in Division 5A advanced with a victory over Munford and will take on Springfield in Springfield Friday night. Six other teams remain to play next weekend with Green Hill taking on Nolensville. On the other side of the bracket Knoxville Central will take on West while Powell will play Rhea County.
Division 1 1A Region 5 # 1 seed Fayetteville will host the Region 6 #1 seed McKenzie Rebels the winner will play the victor of Peabody and Lake County. The four remaining teams on the other side of the bracket are South Pittsburg and Gordonsville. The upper bracket is Cloudland and Coalfield.
Westview High School will play Memphis Academy in Class 2A.
Dyersburg will play Covington in Class 3A.
Haywood will play South Gibson in Class 4A
Huntingdon was defeated by Memphis Academy after a late game fumble recovery leading to touchdown and following 2 pt conversion that was successful. Huntingdon fell by a score of 6 to 8. Weakley County neighbor Dresden fell to Fayetteville 28 to 13.
