Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Patriots have advanced to the third round of the TSSAA playoffs with a victory Friday night over Munford by a score of 56 to 27.
The Patriots scored twice to lead before Munford got on the score board in the first quarter. Cole Townsend ran for 4 touchdowns in the game while Morgan barrack ran for two. Ryan Damron completed two touchdown passes on the night.
The Patriots had a running clock in the fourth period 56 to 20 before Munford scored their final touchdown on the night with 2:54 to go in the game. The Patriots ran up 430 yards of offense in comparison to Munfords 296. Townsend had 13 carries for 210 yards and 4 touchdowns on the night, while Barrick had 9 for 95 and 2 touchdowns. Hudson Cepparulo caught 1 pass for a 38 yard touchdown. Jayce Kendall had 1 for 30 yards and a TD and Luke Jackson had 1 for 8 yards and a touchdown as well.
Henry County will play Springfield High School next Friday night in round 3 of the playoffs.
