
Weakley County Schools are excited to honor the veterans of Weakley County.
Greenfield’s high school gym will serve as the location for their Veterans Day program. Coffee and donuts for veterans will start at 9:15 a.m. in the gym lobby.
WHEN: 10:00 a.m. November 11
Gleason School’s Frazier Court is the site for their ceremony that includes speaking, essay contest winners and a song.
WHEN: 9 a.m. November 11 (Veterans and guests may begin arriving at 8:30 and may enter either through the front main entrance of the school or the main entrance to the gym.)
Sharon School will host a drive through experience for veterans on Veterans Day. All veterans are invited to drive through the front circle and receive a gift of original poetry and artwork from students. In addition, a recorded event of student presentations and speakers will be posted on social media.
WHEN: 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. November 11
Dresden Middle School invites all Veterans to participate in their Veterans Day Parade. However, due to anticipated inclement weather the even has been POSTPONED UNTIL FRIDAY. Cars will begin in the front circle where DMS students will line the sidewalk. Cars will then exit using the Linden Street exit, turn right, and enter the rear entrance from Linden Street where Dresden Elementary Students will be lining the road.

Martin Primary, Martin Elementary, and Dresden High School have in-class observances planned. Westview celebrated on Tuesday.
