Paige Dennis Elected Chair Of State Registry Of Election Finance

Union City, Tenn.–Paige Burcham Dennis of Obion County has been elected the Chair of the Tennessee Registry of Election Finance. Dennis is a member of the Obion County Election Commission.

A Democrat, she was recommended by the Tennessee Democratic Party and appointed by Governor Bill Lee. She has been a member of the Registry since 2019. Dennis is the only female currently serving as a member of the Registry. She is a small business owner in Union City, Tennessee. 

“I am honored to be elected by my peers to serve as Chair of this very important Registry. The work we do is vital to maintain order and fairness in politics and I am excited to continue my work,” Dennis said.

The Registry elects two officers each term from the 6 members of the Registry. Dennis is replacing David Golden whose term expired at the most recent meeting. 

The Tennessee Registry of Election Finance was created by the General Assembly in 1989 as an independent entity of state government. The agency is responsible for the enforcement of the following laws: campaign financial disclosure, campaign contribution limits, gubernatorial inauguration finance disclosure.
