Paris, Tenn.–Meeting in regular session Monday, the Henry County Tourism Authority authorized a commitment of $5,000 to help sponsor the “Legends of the Outdoors” TV show.
As RadioNWTN previously reported, the show will air on the Pursuit Channel in January and is hosted by well-known fishing guide Garry Mason of Springville. Mason is also the fishing coach at Bethel University.
At Monday’s meeting, Mason introduced Abby Jo Scheriger who will be a co-host with him. She has earned a masters degree in communications from Murray State and is the program’s Director of Communications.
Paris-Henry County Chamber Director Travis McLeese said the $5,000 allotment will allow Henry County “to promote our outdoor access through Garry Mason’s show”. Henry County will be promoting Kentucky Lake, Paris Landing, the new Lodge at Paris Landing and other aspects of local outdoor recreation, he said.
Mason told the Tourism Authority he hopes to film in Henry County in March or April.
