Union City, Tenn.–A handful of fundraisers to benefit Union City Schools sports teams have been announced.

The UC High School baseball team will benefit from a five-person golf scramble Saturday at Poplar Meadows Country Club.

Entry fee is $60 per person or $300 for a team. Registration and lunch (included) will begin at noon with a tee-off set for 1 p.m. for the 18-hole competition.

One mulligan per person will be allowed, though more can be purchased for $5 each.

Sponsorships are also available for donors for both carts and holes.

Only a few spots remain in the field, according to event organizers.

For further information, contact UCHS head baseball coach Cole McAdams at mcadamsco@ucboe.net.

Union City Middle School’s two basketball teams each have ongoing fundraisers.

The girls’ program will benefit from the sale of Buff City Soap.

Bars of “Hoop Dreams” (Narcissist) and “Stay Golden” (Beast) are available from any player or coach. One bar costs $7, three bars are available for $20 and soap sleeves can be had for $5 each.

For more information, contact head coach Chris Palmer at palmerc@ucboe.net.

UCMS boys’ team members are selling Sonic cards for $5 each.

The popular card provides discounts on a number of menu favorites, and all the proceeds will benefit the Tornado program.

Head coach Bill Kail can be reached at kailb@ucboe.net for more details.

And finally, the UC Middle School basketball programs will benefit from an inter-squad game to be played Monday night at Marty Sisco Gymnasium.

Both the girls and boys will play a Purple vs. Gold contest, the girls’ game starting at 6 p.m.

Admission will be $5, and concessions will be available.
