Paris, Tenn.–A Springville man was arrested Sunday for allegedly threatening to set fire to a home with adults and children inside.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office arrested Cordale Orlando Wilkes, age 35, and chrged him with four counts of aggravated child abuse and neglect, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of domestic assault and one count of criminal neglect.
The incident occurred at a Hwy. 77 residence Sunday morning after Wilkes had slept in his vehicle at the home with the permission of the resident. An argument ensued in the morning and then escalated to the point where Wilkes allegedly began pouring gas on the home and threatening to burn the house up.
Wilkes is being held on $100,000 bond.
