Cottage Grove, Tenn.–The Henry County Airport re-opened today at 1 p.m. ahead of schedule. County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway told RadioNWTN that all repairs are complete and the facility is fully operational.
The Airport was shut down temporarily in April when a sinkhole appeared near the runway and was reopened for light aircraft when a shortened section of the runway was approved for use.
The Airport was again shut down in September to complete the repairs, with a 30-day deadline, but the repairs –by the J.R. Hayes Co.–were finished well ahead of that.
