
Ashland City, Tenn.–The Ashland City Fire Department was dispatched to the Cumberland River last night on a report of a boat fire.
According to the firefighters, occupants of the boat had jumped off and swam to shore. When firefighters arrived, they found the boat fully engulfed in fire and the occupants safe on the bank of the river.
Crews assigned to Engine 101 made contact with the occupants on the bank, while another crew responded with Water Rescue 138 to the boat fully engulfed. Occupants were evaluated, boat was extinguished and scene was handed over to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
