Pair Steal Service Animal In Early Morning Theft

A Wingo couple were arrested around 4 a.m. today on numerous charges, including burglary, drug charges–and stealing a service canine from a Murray residence.
On Monday, September 13, 2021 at approximately 4 a.m., Deputies with the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Navigator Drive for a report of an overnight burglary. Deputy J. Hamm began an investigation into the theft of numerous items, including a service animal, from the residence.
Shortly thereafter, information was obtained which led the investigation to a Wingo residence in Graves County. Deputies from the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office and the Graves County Sheriff’s Office located two individuals at the Wingo residence in possession of the stolen property and believed to be directly involved in the burglary. Deputies also located suspected methamphetamine.
Whitney L Reeves, age 29, and Dustin S. Boles, age 34, both of Wingo, Kentucky were arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Burglary in Calloway County. Both were charged with 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) in Graves County. Both were lodged in the Calloway County Jail. The stolen property was returned to the victim.
